| Abstract | Financial Technology (FinTech) has fundamentally transformed the global banking industry by integrating advanced digital technologies into financial services, enabling greater efficiency, accessibility, security, and customer-centric innovation. Rapid developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Open Banking, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Digital Payments, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), and Decentralized Finance (DeFi) are reshaping traditional banking models and creating a highly interconnected digital financial ecosystem. FinTech innovations facilitate real-time payments, automated lending, intelligent fraud detection, digital wealth management, financial inclusion, and personalized banking experiences while reducing operational costs and improving financial transparency. These technological advancements are driving the transition from conventional banking toward intelligent, data-driven, and customer-focused financial systems capable of supporting sustainable economic growth and global financial resilience. This study investigates FinTech innovations and the future of global banking through a multidisciplinary perspective. Using a qualitative and analytical research methodology based on secondary data from finance, banking, information systems, economics, computer science, cybersecurity, and digital transformation literature, the study examines enabling technologies, FinTech applications, implementation frameworks, regulatory considerations, cybersecurity challenges, governance mechanisms, sustainability implications, and future research directions. Particular emphasis is placed on AI-powered banking, blockchain-based financial services, digital payments, Open Banking, embedded finance, digital identity management, regulatory technology (RegTech), and financial inclusion. The findings indicate that FinTech innovations significantly improve operational efficiency, transaction speed, customer experience, financial accessibility, fraud prevention, and strategic decision-making while enhancing competitiveness within the global banking sector. However, cybersecurity threats, data privacy concerns, regulatory complexity, interoperability challenges, digital inequality, and ethical governance remain significant barriers to sustainable implementation. The study concludes that integrating advanced digital technologies, resilient regulatory frameworks, secure financial infrastructure, and responsible innovation provides a comprehensive pathway toward intelligent, inclusive, and sustainable global banking systems. |
